Why Stainless?

AltText

Stainless steel came on strong in the kitchen several years ago—perhaps because homeowners were drawn to a more commercial, professional look or because it’s difficult to make a lifetime commitment to a single color. (After all, unlike appliances, your sink really can last a lifetime.)

Fortunately, according to recent trend research, stainless will continue to go strong. Why?

  • Color. Interior designers love stainless steel because its neutral color value complements just about any aesthetic—from traditional rich wood finishes to modern, sleek spaces. As more homes blend elements from traditional and contemporary styles (for a transitional look), stainless fits in beautifully.
  • Strength. The strength of stainless steel adds to its appeal. The finish won’t chip, crack or wear, ensuring that the sink will look as good ten years after installation as it did on the day you first met. (If you’ve ever accidentally dropped a pot in the sink, you know how important that can be.)
  • Ease. As the name suggests, high-quality stainless naturally resists corrosion and staining, making it easy to keep clean.

When you’re planning, it’s easy to focus on how a kitchen will look the day it’s completed or how it appears on the pages of a home magazine. But you’ve got to think about how your choices will stand up to years of daily use and abuse. Stainless means no regrets. The sink will always be ready for a visit from the Book Club with just a quick wipe of a sponge.
